Interpreting

As an interpreter working in English, Portuguese and German, I attend the occasions where what is said between these three languages has to go on record beyond any doubt.
Court hearings
Civil, Criminal and Tax Courts, appointments with police authorities and other procedural steps. Consecutive and whispered interpreting, prepared in advance wherever the papers are made available.
Law firms
Meetings with foreign clients, taking of statements, advice and preparation for hearings. Complete confidentiality over everything said and read.
Company and civil registration
Setting up companies, marriages, birth registrations and other acts before registry offices and public services.
Business meetings
Negotiations, property viewings, meetings with banks and estate agents. The register suits the occasion, without the formality of a courtroom.
Remote interpreting
By telephone or video call, where the parties are in different countries or the occasion does not call for someone in the room.
Where I work
Based in Almancil
I attend in person mainly across the councils of Loulé, Faro and Olhão, all a short distance from my base in Almancil.
I am willing to travel to other parts of the country, subject to agreeing travel costs beforehand. Where physical presence is not required, interpreting by video call solves the problem without any travel charge at all.
The earlier you tell me the date, the more likely I am to be free and to have prepared the subject matter properly — particularly in court proceedings, where preparation makes a real difference.
